The topic of my article is how a 6 year old boy accidentally shoots his 3 year old little brother, and their father is charged for it. My CNN article “Charges against Chicago dad after 6 year old shoots 3 year old” is about how Israel LaSalle, the grandfather of the children, was making Kool-aid for the children when he heard popping noises, while they were downstairs playing “cops and robbers.” While playing this game the older brother grabs the loaded gun off, which was wrapped in pajama pants, off the top of the fridge. Then the gun went off shooting the 3 year old in the head. The father was charged because he bought the gun illegally from a gang. This problem doesn’t affect me personally but does affect the safety of children and teens that don’t know how to properly use a gun. This impacts the world by gun control and safety. If you have a gun in your household it should not be loaded for reasons like this one. Definitely if you have young children that could accidentally be harmed. We have had problems with gun control lately and this incident has probably made it worse. So if you have a gun keep it unloaded and out of kids reach.
